I’m a little bit excited because I just booked our tickets to the upcoming So Frenchy, So Chic music festival.
Which got me thinking about French music…
Given how much I love all things French, it’s taken me a little while to build up my French music collection. But I now have quite a few favourite French artists including Émilie Simon, who played at last year’s festival.
I believe that listening to French music has definitely helped me with my French language skills (which for the record are still quite ordinary – I start lessons again on Saturday). And to the extent that I can understand it, I think it has helped me understand the French culture a little better.
And if nothing else, it is a very pleasant way to bring a little bit of France into my day.
So why not Frenchify Your Friday this week by listening to little French music?
Perhaps you could download a French artist from iTunes or check out Spotify or Pandora for French music. All are quick and easy to use and you will be listening within minutes!!
