I’ve been very busy at work recently, delivering a big project that has been equal parts exhilarating and exhausting. Unfortunately, I’m not getting any comments about looking exhilarated. I am however getting stacks of feedback about how tired I appear. Which, I guess, is fair enough. I’ve been working long hours and can’t say […]
What To Buy
p Christmas is almost upon us (yay!) and if you are anything like me, one of the joys of Christmas is tracking down just the right gifts for my loved ones. One of the reasons I’m so excited to be visiting Europe right now is the fact that I will get to do much of […]
I’ve been thinking about last week’s Four Days In Paris piece… While I think I covered a host of Parisian shopping opportunities, I omitted one vital stop. The French pharmacy. Now, while you are unlikely to spend an entire day hanging out in a French pharmacy, you do need to make sure you fit […]
Here’s the third instalment in our Four Days In Paris series and I will admit right up front that four days of shopping in Paris is not going to appeal to every traveller. Happy Birthday Distant Francophile. Yes today, Distant Francophile is celebrating its first birthday. And to be honest, while I love our website to bits and pieces and happily work on it for creative expression, I’ve been both surprised and delighted by the amount of interest from others. It really is our great pleasure to add […]
A miracle occurred this week. In the scheme of miracles, I guess you’d have to say it was a (very) minor miracle, but I’m definitely calling it a miracle.
I love it when I stumble on something unexpected when I’m travelling. My big find during our recent trip to Singapore came as I was hunting down a cool drink in the Fullerton Hotel. And it came in the form of a French perfumery – Fragrance Du Bois.
Ok, I’ve done my research. And I’ve learnt that if I truly want to blog about France, it is clear that I need to write a post about French pharmacies!
