Recently on Distant Francophile we discussed French grooming tips for your skin.
In case you missed it, the key advice included always removing your make-up and to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!
No one could argue that French people don’t have beautiful skin, so to Frenchify your Friday this week, I’m suggesting we should all do something special for our skin.
Perhaps you might like to purchase a new skincare product. Or treat yourself to a facial. Or simply take the time to remove your make-up properly and pop on your very best moisturiser.
And to our many gentlemen readers (of whom there are many), don’t think you are off the hook with this week’s suggestion. I’m tipping your skin would appreciate a little care and attention too!!
All the best for a fabulous Friday.
Until next time – au revoir.

Try Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. Very nice. Smells great.
I always, always, always remove my make up before bed. I shower before bed and keep a bottle of cleanser in the shower. It’s all about making it easy.
Friday night is ‘treatment night’. We are past heading out on a Friday, the kids do that. I shower early and sit in bed, reading, with a face mask on.
A very civilized way to start the weekend.
It sounds extremely civilised Claire!! And easy. Gotta be happy with both those things!
Great posts on grooming Janelle! I use and LOVE unscented (expeller pressed) organic coconut oil as both a makeup remover and as a moisturizer after cleansing my face. Day and night. The best product I have ever used, hands down, and works so great for those of us who are highly allergic to many scented products. Vitacost.com, if you enter organic coconut oil expeller pressed has many brands at discount prices too. Works great as a massage oil as well. I have tried adding in organic essential oils, which is fine for massage oil, but I personally prefer just the plain coconut oil for my face and neck. (If you don’t buy expeller pressed you will smell like coconut!) In the morning/daytime when I use it on my face and even eyelids etc., once applied, I just wipe off excess with a towel. Then I put my loose powder makeup on with a brush and it “clings” well to the oil, creating a dewy-ish matte finish. Super easy, healthier, affordable. I also use it on my hands and as a body moisturizer. You can put a spoonful of it in your (bubble) bath water too and it will melt and leave you silky soft. (But be careful not to slip in the tub!) Coconut oil is a beauty miracle in my opinion and Google and Pinterest searches agree, ha! 🙂
