You don’t need me to tell you that you can find some of the best sweet treats on the planet in a French pâtisserie.
Small, exquisitely crafted and absolutely delicious, enjoying a cake or pastry created by someone who knows what they are doing is almost the ideal way to Frenchify your Friday.
This is especially true when it comes to chocolate. The French are masters when dealing with chocolate.
And the best news? Quality French inspired pâtisseries, expertly crafting chocolatey delights can now be found in all corners of the globe.
So this week’s suggestion for adding a taste of France to your Friday is quite specific:
- Finish your work, chores and errands for the day.
- Head to your nearest French inspired pâtisserie or bakery.
- Choose your favourite chocolate treat.
- Enjoy. Immediately or later, I’ll let you decide.
All the best for a fabulous Friday.
Until next time – au revoir.

I was thinking about how the French eat dessert yet don’t gain weight. I think it’s the patisserie! You get a fabulous, delicious creation in a single-serving size–and that size is small. It’s meant to be savored slowly, and, because it’s small, without guilt.
You might be onto something there Taste of France. And they look beautiful too.
When you come to Hobart, I’ll take you here;

Thanks Claire. I’ll take you up on that offer. The treats look fabulous.
Sweet idea indeed! Your chocolate plate looks exquisite. Thank you for sharing it with us. a’ la tiene!
P.S. We do have some cute French Bistros around Atlanta. They always have great
patisseries to be enjoyed with some nice cups of latte or cappuccino.
Thanks so much Nat – personally I think most chocolate looks exquisite after a French pastry chef has had a chance to play with it!!
And Nat – I hope you are treating yourself to those Atlanta Bistros whenever you get a chance.
Thank you. I hope to meet up with a friend at “la Madeleine”, a Country French Café around here for brunch early next week. I am already excited thinking about a large cup of cappuccino (they will double its regular size for us American) and a oh so moist and decadent Sacher Torte there. 🙂
