I’ve never written about this before but I am a big, big fan of goal setting.
While I don’t go as far as reading my goals every day, I do write them down.
And I am very happy to talk about my goals with the special people in my life.
I remember very clearly the day I told Scott ‘One day I will write for My French Life™’. Back then, I considered My French Life™ one of the best Francophile websites on the planet.
Nothing has happened in the intervening years to change my view on that point. Judy and her team do a fabulous job of bringing French inspiration into our everyday lives and I continue to eagerly await the My French Life™ weekly newsletter.
However, two things have changed since I made that original comment to Scott.
The first is the fact that I have written for My French Life™. Numerous times, as it turns out. Goal ticked off the list.
The second is that My French Life™ and Distant Francophile are now in serious collaboration mode. And I’ve got to tell you, I’m so excited! It really is a dream come true.
Not only am I planning to add to my ‘Off the beaten track’ series on My French Life™ after our visit to France later this year, but Judy is also featuring some of our Master A French Classic posts on her website. These recipes were originally posted on Distant Francophile and Judy is taking the opportunity to package these ideas up in a new and interesting way.
You can check out the first instalment of this new My French Life™ series simply by clicking here.
And stay tuned. We’ll be sharing more great collaborative ideas from My French Life™ and Distant Francophile very soon.
Until next time – au revoir.

Congratulations! I subscribe already.
That’s fabulous Janelle. Well done. I’ll be certainly trying the recipe soon as well.
Thanks Kylie. I think the recipe will be very popular at your place!
Its a pleasure to work with you and Scott, Janelle. Thank you for being so open to our collaboration ideas. Let’s do more. And of course I’m totally open to suggestions from others – just shoot me an email: info [@] MyFrenchLife [.] org
Warmest regards
Judy
Congratulations Janelle! It’s always such satisfaction to achieve goals, and you have done so much. In fact I found Distant Francophile originally from an article your wrote for My French Life (can’t remember which one!} but I still eagerly await both DF and MFL in my inbox. You are both such a treat for those of us who live in both countries, literally and in our heads and hearts. Thank you and I eagerly await your new projects. Bonne chance !
Thank you so much Jan – so grateful for such lovely words.
