I’ve got to tell you – I’ve always found packing for Paris in spring a bit tricky. I always end up lugging way more weight than I want to – primarily because I’m forever trying to cater for the changeable weather.
Shoes are definitely the worst. If there is ever a season that sees me over-packing shoes it is spring. Ankle boots, ballet flats and sandals – I always feel the need to take them all!
But, despite these ongoing issues, I have worked hard over the years to hone my spring-time packing skills and I’ve discovered lots of tips to make the whole exercise easier. And I promise you won’t sacrifice style if you use them.
My best advice is to be really disciplined and make sure that you stick to a colour palette of two or three colours. This allows you to create numerous outfits from a minimal number of items. I also recommend packing items that layer, which helps to mitigate the risks of unpredictable weather.
