Personally, I adore perfume. I have bottles of the stuff on my dresser. I’ve had a bespoke fragrance made just for me. I love choosing a scent based on how I feel in the morning. And I am especially fond of French perfume.
So, it’s little wonder that I fully relate to the French fascination with fragrance.
Over the centuries, the French have turned scent into an art form.
I love walking into Guerlain, Serge Lutens, Chanel or any of the other big name fragrance boutiques in Paris. The perfume names intrigue. The light shimmers off the cut glass. And, of course, the boutiques always smell amazing.
Given all this, I have no trouble in recommending that to Frenchify Your Friday this week you play with fragrance. Perhaps you can wear your very favourite fragrance. Or test something new at your local stockist. Maybe you might even like to splurge and shout yourself a whole new bottle.
No matter which option you choose you are guaranteed to bring a little bit of French mystique into your day.
Do you spritz perfume (or aftershave, for the gents) everyday? Or are you a ‘fragrance for special occasions’ kind of person? Maybe you have a ‘signature’ fragrance. Or perhaps you prefer to pick and choose your perfume based on your mood? Regardless, I’d love for you to share your thoughts on all things scent related in the comments below.
All the best for a fabulous Friday.
And until next time – au revoir.

Most perfumes smell awful on me, however the one brand I can wear is Dior – lucky me 🙂
However there is one fragrance by L’Occitane that I love and I am currently wearing a man’s fragrance by L’Occitane.
It is similar to the one I normally wear but also contains cardamom, one of my favourite spices.
Yes – very lucky you! It’s funny what you say about men’s fragrances – I often wear them too because of their spiciness!
I will be soaking in Chanel No.5 tomorrow, it’s my favourite.
One of my favourites too Kylie. Sometimes I don’t wear it for ages, but I always have a bottle somewhere because I know that eventually I will go back!
