I’m about to start French language lessons again and I’m really quite excited about that fact. I love the actual process of trying to learn a second language.
But, I have to tell you, I’m surprised – and perhaps a little disappointed – at how much I’ve forgotten since our time at the French immersion language school Coeur de France, which you will find in the gorgeous village of Sancerre.
So this week’s Frenchify Your Friday is inspired by Valérie, our incredibly patient professeur at Coeur de France whose mantra was ‘pratique, pratique, pratique’.
Yes, this week I’m suggesting that we take some time – even if it’s just a few minutes – to practice our French language skills. Listen to a recording. Read a textbook. Practice with a friend. Even attend a class if you can.
Just do something to embed your French language skills.
I promise you won’t regret it – especially if you are required to sit an oral French exam as part of your enrollment!!
