We’ve just spent a fabulous weekend in Sydney, staying with some close friends who moved up there a little while ago. We hadn’t caught up with them properly since we got back from last trip, so there were lots of stories to share.
Unsurprisingly, one of those stories centred around our enrolment in an immersion language school in the beautiful village of Sancerre.
Sancerre really was one of the highlights of our trip.
The experience of learning French in France was quite amazing but I feel it was made even more special given the location of our school.
Sancerre should be on the ‘must see’ list of every francophile. For me, the whole village embodies everything I love about France. Beautiful views to take in, winding streets to explore, a vast history to delve into. And all complemented by the excellent local food and wine.
