Wearing Memories

Wearing Memories Bracelet

I can’t believe I haven’t shared this one with you all before! Way back in November, we spent a very pleasant Sunday at Melbourne’s Paris to Provence. And, while we were enjoying all things French, I managed to pick up one of the most gorgeous – and clever – pieces of jewellery I’ve ever owned.

A bracelet from Wearing Memories.

It was actually a necklace that first caught my eye. The young lady behind the Pommery Champagne Bar was wearing an extremely unique piece around her neck. It took me more than a moment to realise her necklace featured a champagne cap.

Unsurprisingly, it was a Pommery cap…

Whilst it had taken me a while to work out what the necklace had been made from, it took me about two seconds to track down the Wearing Memories stall…in a marketing masterstroke it was strategically located right beside the Pommery Champagne Bar (after more than two decades in sales, I really appreciate that kind of thinking).

The jewellery making is first class, and the fact that you can swap the caps to match your outfit or mood just adds to the appeal. Especially if, like yours truly, you’ve been throwing champagne caps into a drawer for years and years rather than recycling them! The clever ladies at the stand also suggested writing the date of the event that prompted you to open that particular bottle of champagne on the inside of the cap. That way, you will evoke memories of that specific event every time you choose to wear that particular cap.

There was a wide variety of pieces to chose from. But I landed on the bracelet pretty quickly.

I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve received about my bracelet, including the one from the local jeweller who removed a few links for me. He was simply fascinated by the concept.

Don’t you just love it when you stumble across something that is just perfect for you?

Until next time – au revoir.
