The weather today was much sunnier but earlier this week we experienced many showers in Lyon. But rain isn’t a problem here, thanks to a very special umbrella shop.
Yes, you read right. A whole shop, hidden in an arcade, dedicated just to umbrellas. In every colour and size imaginable. For people who come from a country as dry as Australia, we found the whole concept quite entertaining!
The staff were just lovely, happy to communicate in hand gestures and my French (which is slowly improving but still officially awful). One staff member was busy repairing umbrellas, reminding me of all the broken umbrellas I’ve just thrown away.
Like so much of Lyon, this place was just charming.
